Inductive reactance is calculated as XL = 2πfL, where f is frequency and L is inductance. Energy stored in the magnetic field is E = ½LI².

Example: A 10mH inductor at 1kHz has a reactance of 62.8Ω. With 1A of current, it stores 5mJ of energy.
