Calculate voltage drop in electrical wires

V
A
m

Voltage drop is calculated using the formula: Vdrop = 2 × I × R × L, where I is current, R is wire resistance per unit length, and L is one-way wire length. The factor of 2 accounts for both supply and return wires.

Example: A 20A load with 50 feet of 12 AWG copper wire would experience approximately 1.6V drop (1.3% at 120V source).
